THIS SPRING, HELP GET THE TRAILS YOU RIDE READY
Choose where your donation goes
As a volunteer-run non-profit, SORCA relies on community support to maintain and grow these shared spaces so everyone can enjoy them for years to come. This work is only possible thanks to the riders, volunteers, and community members who care about keeping Squamish’s mountain bike community thriving. This SPRING, be part of the effort by giving back to the trails. Your donation goes directly toward maintaining and improving the trails, programs, and community assets that you use and love.

Funding goes toward: Addressing unforeseen trail damage, such as storm impacts, erosion, and bridge failures, that requires immediate maintenance or rebuild work.
Each year, SORCA creates a detailed Trails Operational Plan outlining the projects the trail crew and contractors will focus on for the upcoming season. This proactive approach ensures that the trail network remains safe, sustainable, and enjoyable for everyone who rides, runs, and explores it.
However, nature can be unpredictable. Severe weather, erosion, and unexpected failures of bridges or other features often result in unforeseen costs to the organization.
Your donation to this program helps SORCA respond quickly to these challenges, keeping the trails open and safe. Together, we can ensure the long-term health of the trail network and protect this incredible community resource.

Funding goes toward: Ongoing maintenance and improvements of the park.
In June 2024, SORCA proudly completed a full rebuild of this much-loved community park. Under a licence agreement with the District of Squamish, SORCA is responsible for funding all construction, maintenance, and future upgrades to this public facility.
As a non-profit, SORCA relies on community support to keep this space safe, accessible, and fun for everyone. If you enjoy using the park, please consider making a donation to help SORCA continue maintaining and improving this important community asset. Every contribution makes a difference!

Funding goes toward: Continuing SORCA’s funding of this important program including but not limited to coaching fees, travel expenses, gear, and equipment purchased.
Since its launch in 2019, the Squamish Nation Youth Mountain Bike Program (SNYMTBP) has grown and evolved into a powerful initiative that connects Indigenous youth with the land, the sport, and their community. With strong support from the Squamish Nation Recreation Department and dedicated, certified coaches, the program continues to meet the growing demand from young riders.
Through mentorship, regular riding sessions, and hands-on trail stewardship, the program builds confidence, skills, and a deep sense of belonging. Designed as a zero-barrier opportunity, participation is open exclusively to Indigenous youth at no cost, fostering an environment of safety, respect, and accessibility for all.
Your support helps SORCA keep this program free and thriving, ensuring more Indigenous youth are given a path to experience mountain biking.

Funding goes toward: Ongoing maintenance and improvements of the parking lot and trailhead.
In Spring 2024 after many years of planning and fundraising, SORCA led the expansion of the popular Stl'lhalem Sintl' Parking Lot (AKA ‘Pseudo Lot’) from having a 21 vehicle capacity to 110 vehicles. This dramatically improved the rider and vehicle safety of Garibaldi Park Road. The lot is on Crown land within Skwxwú7mesh Úxwumixw Xay Temixw, the territory of the Squamish Nation. As a high-volume public community asset, the lot requires annual maintenance to ensure its long-term sustainability, which SORCA is responsible for.
As part of the agreement with the province, SORCA is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and sustainability of the lot. Your donation helps SORCA ensure this important community asset remains safe, accessible, and well-maintained for years to come.
