SORCA Social June 13th – Gary McFarlane, Nesters Market, Pac West, Corsa Cycles, Shred Shuttle and Donna McMurtry (AKO Health)

June 13th

The Anti-Social Social is back!

Wednesday June 13th, Nesters Market, Pac West, Corsa Cycles, Shred Shuttle, Donna McMurtry (AKO Health) and Gary McFarlane are going to spread you out around Squamish in the hopes of losing some of you out there. I think there’s still a couple of people wandering around ValleyCliffe after the ride last year. The after party will be held indoors so we’re good to go rain or shine.

The Rides

Wording by Gary McFarlane

Chill Ride: Jeff Jackson will take you on a VC classic of 7 Stitches, 3 Virgins, Graduate, S&M, Farside backwards.

Intermediate 1: Dave Dorrans will leave you behind on PowerHood Connector and the full length of Somewhere Over There. He secret trains.

Intermediate 2: Old Man Harvey will harrumph a group down PowerHood and the refurbished Hoods in the Woods.

Intermediate 3: Old One Eye will try to drop you on a VC climb up to SingleTrack Mind. 5 Point Hill to follow if time permits.

Thrill 1: Try chasing Donna McMurtry down some slabs on Somewhere Over There.

Thrill 2: Three Finger Phil and F**k Ya Raiser give you the middle one while sessioning Neumann’s Arm before dropping into The Raaa.

Dave Reid Nonsense Ride: Guess who will take a limited number of riders on a tour of his work. The socially awkward will feel right at home. Riders will meet somewhere (we don’t know where yet), where Shred Shuttle will load you up. Numbers are limited and you need an A game so submit your name to [email protected] and the lucky riders will be notified.

For those of you who don’t have time to ride, we have an additional event where you just stop by to complain. Open to all, no experience necessary.

Ride Meeting Locations

Chill, Intermediate 3 and Thrill 2, meet at ValleyCliffe Elementary at 6pm.

Intermediate 1 & 2 and Thrill 1, meet at Quest (in the gravel lot) at 6pm.

The Fineprint

SORCA members, please bring your $5 to the afterparty. If you have friends in town that aren’t a SORCA member, it’s $20 for a one day membership inclusive of the apres. Trail Passes are not SORCA memberships.

Ride within your limits. Don’t bite off more than you can chew. Ride leaders are not here to coach you. Get home safely – no drinking & driving.

☀ See you out there, and remember to bring your $5 (Cinco) to the afterparty!
