SORCA Social May 16th 2018 – OneUp Components

OneUp Components is back again this year redefining yet again what a SORCA Social can be. They’ve lined up some great ride and ride leaders for you this time and have a secret location planned for the after party. So secret, they haven’t even told us where it is!

For those of you who may not know who OneUp Components is, they are a local Squamish company that makes some of the best cycling components in the world. They’ve been making chainrings, chain guides, and sprockets for quite a few years, and last year came out with the EDC Tool and some amazing pedals. This year they’re back at it again, expanding their line with their brand new dropper posts. They also have a cool new lightweight axle.

It’s not everyday that you can support a local company while also getting the best product in the world, but this is that day. Check them out online or bug one of the guys at the after party to get some more info from them.

The Rides

You may have to ride out of the afterparty after the sun had set. Please bring a headlamp or come with a friend who has one and can light your way.

We’re going to meet at the bottom of Half Nelson at 6:00 and start leaving at 6:15. PLEASE DO NOT HANG OUT ON THE ROAD. Go up the FSR a few meters so we don’t annoy the locals. The afterparty location will be announced at the start of the ride.

You must be a SORCA member to attend. Please bring your $5 to the afterparty – no exceptions.

Ride within your limits. Don’t bite off more than you can chew. Ride leaders are not here to coach you. Bring a warm layer & a headlamp. Get home safely – no drinking & driving.
