Pseudo 1,2,3 Enhancement Project Completion
The Squamish trail network is the product of years of community-driven planning, construction, and stewardship, and within this system, the Pseudo-Tsuga trail, located in the Diamond Head Zone, stands out as a critical artery. This approximately 2.6 km trail is an intermediate-difficulty, machine-built flow trail that has become a signature ride in the network, offering a rewarding experience for a wide range of riders. Known for its consistent grade and playful character, it draws users looking for a fast, flowy experience that balances accessibility with excitement.
Project Objectives
The objective of the Pseudo-Tsuga project was to elevate the ride experience by addressing wear, legacy construction constraints, and design deficiencies that no longer reflected modern trail-building standards. The result is a more engaging, progressive, and sustainable trail that continues to stand out in the network.
Funding and Timeline
Funding for this project was provided by the Canada Tourism Growth Program and the Cheekye Debris Barrier trail mitigation funding. The total investment for this project was $70,000. A Request for Expression of Interest was presented to five contractors in late June 2025, and Gravity Logic was awarded the project on August 5, 2025.
