SORCA Race Series Kickoff - April 11th

Mark your calendar: the season opener, double-header XC & Enduro events, are on Saturday, April 11th! Compete in one or both, followed by après at Commencal Canada, hosted by Commencal and Howe Sound Brewing

Registration is open now and will remain live until April 9th, though you’ll want to move fast as races fill up quickly. If you have the lungs and the legs to tackle both in one day, you can register for both now via the Race Series registration form. Please note that you must select each individual race for April 11th on the form to ensure you are signed up for both events. As always, these races do require you to have a SORCA membership, so ensure your 2026 membership is active before you head to the checkout!

If you'd like to be involved in the season opener in roles other than racing, we are actively seeking volunteers. Our events would not be possible without the time and energy our community contributes! Volunteer registration can be found here.

Head to Spruce Registrations and register for the XC, Enduro, or both! We can't wait for the event; race season is just around the berm!

The Loam Hustler Social Ride Outs

The Loam Hustler is bringing a rare opportunity to those already registered for the 2026 Loam Hustler. We are inviting registered racers to join exclusive social ride outs with two of the most dominant forces in mountain biking today. This is your chance to share the trails and gain insight from athletes who are at the top of the sport.

On Saturday, April 4th, Enduro World Champion and DHaRCO rider Elly Hoskin will be leading the way. On Sunday, April 19th, we are joined by Red Bull Hardline double champion and three-time World Cup Downhill Champion Gracey Hemstreet. These ride outs will be following the Loam Hustler race courses in preparation for the May 30th event.

If you are already registered to race, keep a close watch on your inbox today (Thursday, March 26th). Sign-up links will be sent out directly to racers, but please note that spaces are extremely limited.

Want to sign up for the Loam Hustler? There's still time! Click the link below for all the details.

BVOD Registration is Open

Beyond the Valleycliffe of the Dolls (BVOD) is the brainchild of long-time SORCA historian, Bryan Raiser. This social ride, returning on June 6th, 2026, is a deluxe tour of the legendary maze that is the Valleycliffe trail network, and the most fun way to raise money for Squamish Search and Rescue. The course will be determined at a later date, depending on access in Valleycliffe; stay tuned! Once again, Diamond Head Land Company has been great, working with the organizers to allow this event to continue!

All entry fee proceeds go to Squamish SAR, with over $39,000 having been raised since the first ride in 2002!

Registration for this event is now open; click on the link below.

Wonderland Trail Update

A few weeks ago, we shared photos of volunteers and crew from SORCA and the Squamish Trail Society hauling rocks and filling gabion baskets in advance of the southernmost Dryden Creek bridge replacement. Today, we’re stoked to show you the result: a brand-new, adaptive bike-accessible bridge on Wonderland.

Thanks to grants from the BC Parks Enhancement Fund and the BC Rehab Foundation, SORCA and the Squamish Trails Society, along with the trail crew, contractors, and volunteers, have made a number of key improvements to the 3km-long beginner-friendly Wonderland trail.  Thank you Silverback Treeworks for your generous donation of the cedar decking boards used to complete the bridge. And thank you to all the volunteers who came out over the last few months to contribute to these improvements!
